Google NotebookLM turns your documents into an AI-powered research assistant. It does not have native MCP support, but you can feed it WHMCS data exported through MCP Server. Upload revenue reports, client summaries, or ticket analyses as sources, then use Deep Research, Audio Overviews, and Data Tables to extract insights from your billing data.
How it works: NotebookLM does not connect to MCP Server directly. You export WHMCS data through MCP Server using any supported client (Claude, OpenClaw, Cursor), then upload the reports to NotebookLM for AI-powered research and analysis.

Query WHMCS data using any MCP client
Use Claude Desktop, OpenClaw, or Cursor to query your WHMCS via MCP Server. Ask for formatted reports: “Export revenue by product for the last 12 months as a summary.”
Save the output as a document
Copy the MCP response to a Google Doc, save as PDF, or paste into a .txt file. NotebookLM supports PDF, Google Docs, Google Sheets, .docx, .txt, and web URLs. CSV is not directly supported. Use Google Sheets or rename to .txt as a workaround.
Upload to NotebookLM and analyze
Go to notebooklm.google.com, create a notebook, and add your exported data as a source. Then use Deep Research, Audio Overviews, or Data Tables to analyze your WHMCS data.

NotebookLM runs on Google servers. Any data you upload is processed by Google Gemini models. NotebookLM states it does not use uploaded data to train models. For sensitive WHMCS data, use the two-step workflow: query WHMCS locally with MCP Server, export only aggregated or anonymized summaries, then upload those summaries to NotebookLM. Raw client PII should not be uploaded to any cloud service.
For maximum privacy, consider using local AI models that run entirely on your hardware. No data leaves your server.

- Does NotebookLM support MCP natively?
- No. As of February 2026, Google NotebookLM does not have native MCP support. Community-built MCP servers exist (notebooklm-mcp by PleasePrompto, notebooklm-mcp-cli by jacob-bd) but they use browser automation (Puppeteer) and are experimental. They can break without notice when Google updates the NotebookLM web interface. For production use, we recommend the two-step workflow: query WHMCS via MCP Server with a supported client (Claude, OpenClaw), then upload the exported data to NotebookLM.

- Data Tables (added December 2025) let you ask NotebookLM to synthesize your sources into structured tables. Available on Pro and Ultra tiers, with rollout to all users planned.
- Can I automate the WHMCS to NotebookLM workflow?
